Over 49 conferences, hundreds of fantastic board members, and two amazing club advisors, MetMUNC has gained the reputation of one of the best conferences on Long Island. Each conference is better than the last, and we plan to keep that upward trend.

MetMUNC is the Model United Nations club of POBJFKHS. We strive to give students a platform to discuss and debate international issues while representing a real country. Students, or more aptly called delegates, attend conferences throughout Long Island to debate international policy by representing a nation and researching, presenting, and embodying the views of a particular nation in a committee that handles some subset of the world’s problems (such as human rights, immigration, or international security).
By joining MetMunc, you will learn about and have hands-on experience in international relations, politics, and current events. Additionally, you will learn how to publicly speak and express your opinions in front of an audience. Lastly, you will learn to work with others and compromise on ideas in order to reach the best and most agreeable solution. Joining MetMUNC will cultivate your potential to grow as a global citizen and give you a platform to learn more about others and the world around you.
